Files for every embroidery machine

Not sure which format you need? Tell us your machine model and we pick the right one.

The basics

What is embroidery digitizing?

Embroidery digitizing turns your artwork into a file that an embroidery machine can read. A JPG or PNG cannot tell a machine where to place the needle, so a digitizer builds the design stitch by stitch.

The digitizer chooses the stitch types, direction, density and sewing order. These choices decide whether your logo looks sharp, whether small text stays readable and whether the machine runs without thread breaks.

Every design is different. A cap needs different settings than a polo, and a towel needs different settings than a jacket. We adjust each file for your fabric, size and placement.

What goes into every file

๐ŸงตStitch typesSatin stitches for borders and text, fill stitches for large areas and run stitches for fine lines.
๐ŸงฑUnderlayBase stitches that steady the fabric and lift the top stitches.
โ†”๏ธPull compensationExtra width that offsets fabric pull, so shapes stay crisp after stitching.
๐Ÿ“DensityStitch spacing tuned for your fabric and thread, so the design neither gaps nor stiffens.
โœ‚๏ธStitch order and trimsA smart sequence cuts jumps and trims for faster, smoother runs.

What is embroidery digitizing?

Embroidery digitizing converts artwork into a stitch file that your embroidery machine can read. The file tells the machine where to stitch, which stitch type to use and when to change colors or trim.

How much does embroidery digitizing cost?

Flat-rate designs run from $10 to $50 based on size. Stitch-based pricing is $1.50 per 1,000 stitches. Send your artwork through the order form for an exact quote.

How long does it take?

We work quickly without compromising quality. Mention rush service in your order if you need your file sooner.

Which file formats do you provide?

We provide DST, PES, JEF, EXP, EMB, VP3, PDF and JPG preview files, and more. Tell us your machine model and we match the format.

What artwork should I send?

Send the clearest version you have. Vector files work best, but we also work from PNG, JPG and PDF files. Include the size, fabric and placement.

Can you digitize a blurry or low-quality image?

In most cases, yes. We rebuild the design by hand. If the image is too unclear, we may suggest a clean redraw first. See our vector art service.

Do you offer free edits?

Yes. Minor edits are free. Send us the changes and we update the file. Major changes depend on the job.
